Angie Pettinger was named President of Agency Services, Inc. in early 2021, having been with the firm for 28 years. From 2015 through 2020, she served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and previously managed various other departmental functions.
She has had a significant role in developing ASI’s growth of over 10% for each of the past 9 years. As President, she has full responsibility for day-to-day operations as well as oversight of all planning, staff development, sales management & vendor relationships.
Angie has a successful history of case design and point-of-sale work. She is heavily involved in providing educational opportunities to Agency Services’ agent/broker client base, enabling them to obtain appropriate credentialing and maintain product knowledge to better serve their clients. Angie also serves as a valuable resource for agents/brokers, assisting with decisions regarding Senior insurance solutions and leading ASI’s promotional and educational efforts.
In 1986, Angie began her career in insurance while working with Blue Cross Blue Shield in Chattanooga, gaining relevant experience in the health insurance claims administration field. She holds the designation of LTCP (Long Term Care Professional) and CLTC (Certified in Long Term Care) and serves as an agent/broker resource for Long Term Care insurance. Angie maintains specific company certifications that allow her to market certain Medicare related private insurance products. She is a frequent presenter at educational events and industry conferences.
Angie is originally from East Tennessee and has been married to her husband, Matt, for 30 years.

Jack Dewald, CLU, RHU is a 40+ year veteran of the life insurance business. His career reflects a robust record of helping other insurance agents, financial advisors, brokers, and other professionals grow their practices and expand the insurance product offerings their clients require.
Dewald served as President of Agency Services, Inc. for 26 years (1994-2020) after joining the firm in 1982. Since 2021, Dewald has served as a Senior Advisor, remaining active with the firm to drive strategic initiatives and help to grow key relationships with customers and insurance carriers/suppliers. ASI was founded in 1962 and each year, hundreds of advisors & agents choose ASI to help them meet their clients’ needs for innovative and creative insurance solutions.
Since 2010, Dewald has served as Chairman of the Board of St Louis, MO based The Marketing Alliance, Inc., a publicly traded firm (OTC: MAAL) specializing in the national distribution and administration of various life, annuity and long-term care insurance products on a wholesale basis. Dewald is well known as a national thought leader in his industry and has served in numerous leadership roles in key industry organizations over the years:
- Chairman (2003) of NAILBA (National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies) In 2013, NAILBA presented Dewald with their highest recognition, the Douglas H. Mooers Award for Excellence.
- National Board Chairman of the Life Happens Foundation (2010)
- Past President Memphis NAIFA Chapter (1992)
- Past President Memphis NAHU/NABIP Chapter (1988)
- Member TN NAIFA Hall of Fame
- Life member of The Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) as well as the Top of the Table (TOT), an elite worldwide forum of MDRT members who focus on advanced sales concepts and ideas.
Active in his community, he is an Elder at Grace Evangelical Church in Germantown and served on the Board of Trustees of Briarcrest Christian Schools for over 10 years including roles as Treasurer and Vice Chairman. He is a member of the Briarcrest Alumni Hall of Fame. In 1998, the Memphis Business Journal recognized Dewald as one their “Top 40 under 40”. He formerly served on the Sam M. Walton College of Business Alumni Advisory Board at the University of Arkansas, where he received a degree in Finance & Insurance.
Dewald authored a book – Ten Sales Concepts to Relish, Remember & Repeat: Using Life Insurance to provide SECURITY to your clients while SECURING your relationship with them! which was written using humor and a laid-back storytelling style to assist advisors communicate to their clients how life insurance can provide security and be the cornerstone of any financial plan.
Dewald is the Immediate Past-President of Hatchie Coon Hunting & Fishing Club of Tulot, AR. Founded in 1884, Hatchie Coon is one of the oldest, continuously operating clubs in the Mississippi flyway.
Jack and his wife, Beth, have been married for over 40 years and have two children. They live in Germantown, TN.

Mark Wiseman is a veteran with over 38 years in the insurance industry. His area of specialty has included, Estate and Business planning, Leveraged gifting strategies, Trust planning, Buy-Sell planning and other key areas in the advanced planning market.
Our approach at ASI is unique in that we focus on offering marketing concepts designed to help you and your clients more easily implement strategies that work. Mark’s goal at ASI is to provide innovative insurance products, superior service, and point- of-sale assistance when needed.
Mark is a graduate of the University of Memphis. He holds a RHU designation from American College. Mark served on several product advisory committees for Fortune 500 insurance companies and moderated several years for the LUTCF program.
He has been married to his wife, Nancy, for 40 years and has 3 children and 4 grandchildren.

Kim Reed CLU, ChFC
Kim Reed CLU, ChFC has been with ASI since 1987 and in the brokerage business for 40 years and was an agent prior to that. He was the Vice President of Life/DI for 12 years before relocating to Cookeville TN as Regional Director and Underwriting Consultant.
Kim specializes in the packaging of large and impaired risk life insurance cases, plus Life, DI and Long Term Care sales. In service to the industry, Kim has served on both the Memphis Life Underwriters Association (MALU) and Memphis Chapter of CLU/ChFC boards and was on the board (and Treasurer) for SUB-Centers, Inc., a national insurance study group.
Kim attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and has been married to his wife, Darlynn, for 30 years.

As a Series 6 and 63 licensed representative and active member of the Memphis Estate Planning Council and Professional Life Advisors Network, Cynthia brings industry expertise, advanced product knowledge, and a collaborative approach to supporting advisors, agents, and institutional partners.
Cynthia focuses on delivering innovative life insurance, long-term care planning, and Medicare solutions tailored to meet a broad range of client needs. Beyond one-on-one advisor support, she plays a key role in providing education and strategic insight to large firms and distribution platforms across the institutional wholesale landscape.
Serving a diverse region that includes Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas, and beyond, Cynthia is known for her hands-on approach, application support, and dedication to exceptional service. She welcomes opportunities to collaborate with professionals who share her mission to provide meaningful protection and long-term value to clients.
Being a graduate of the University of North Alabama with a degree in Public Relations and Marketing, she knows the value of relationships and believes in leaving people better than she found them. She is the mother to three of the most awesome humans and calls Pickwick U.S.A. home. Other activities she enjoys are Ladies Bible Study, pickleball, music, golf, landscaping and anything that involves her family and unique group of friends.

After a long career as an agent, Bryan Brackin joined ASI in 2005. Bryan is the Brokerage Consultant for the state of Arkansas. He is available to help with quotes, product information and sales ideas.
Bryan has 2 daughters, Lucie and Betsy; a son, Sam; and a grandson, Eli; and a granddaughter, Lucille.

Leigh Pratt is our Medicare Specialist who helps clients understand the maze of Medicare. She has 20+ years’ experience in the insurance industry. She enjoys working with brokers and helping their clients through the Medicare planning process.
Leigh graduated from the University of Mississippi and has been married to her husband, Benton, for 28 years. They have one son, Charles.

Elizabeth Kirk is ASI’s New Business Specialist. She scrubs and processes life insurance applications. Elizabeth is the youngest of 9 children. She was home schooled and graduated from high school at 15 years of age.
She plays violin and viola with the Germantown Symphony Orchestra and teaches private violin, viola, and cellos lessons. She also enjoys many hobbies, including spinning yarn, knitting, and taking care of a lot of animals.

Rena King
Rena King is our internal sales specialist and provides sales support to our customers. She makes sure that our customers are informed about new products, product changes and promotional programs. She also is involved with setting up our agent training seminars and webinars.
Rena attended Memphis State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism. Rena has one son, Justin; her daughter-in-law, Liz, and one golden-doodle grand-dog named Penny.
Rena enjoys reading, playing pickleball, watching football, and attending St. Michael’s Catholic Church, where she is actively involved in the Women’s Ministry.
